Op het Amsterdamse Museumplein, net voor de grootse metamorfose, vooruitlopend op de gedaanteverwisseling die het plein zou ondergaan. Deze twee grootmeesters uit de Nederlandse en internationale kunst worden geconfronteerd met elkaar en het publiek. Zij zijn mijlpalen geweest en richtinggevend in de Europese schilderkunst

Sur le Museumplein d’Amsterdam, juste avant la vaste métamorphose, précurseur des grands changements que cette pleine va subir. Ces deux grands-maîtres de l’art néerlandais et international sont confrontés l’un à l’autre et au public. Ils furent étapes et directionnels dans l’histoire de la peinture européenne.
The Rembrandt-Mondrian Project
On the Amsterdam Museum square, just before the metamorphosis, the project predicts the tremendous changes the square will go through. These two great masters of the Dutch and international art scene, milestones and trendsetters in European painting, are confronting one another as well as the public.
